Patrick Fullerton's The Diamonds Information
The Diamonds performed at Sun City Center's Community Hall on March 15, 2009. It was a sold out show. My daughter Megan and I had to stand in the back of the hall where I video recorded the show. We of course, joined with them before the concert and had a fun time. I video recorded the entire show. The sound was perfect, as was their performance.

They have been on a six week tour without being home. This is very tough on performers. Families are missed as well as normal life. Bobby has a baby daughter who is growing up so quickly.

The crowd loved the show. So much love and memories. Every concert goer stated that it was the best show they had seen. Bobby's Unchained Melody got another standing ovation. And Jerry's Chantilly Lace brought the house to their feet.

Before the show, Megan and I were treated to Bobby and the gang singing, on speaker phone, Happy Birthday, to Bobby's Mom. What a wonderful lady.

And the highlight for Megan was Jerry & Bobby talking during the show of The Diamonds website by her Dad, and that his 7 year old daughter was there too. We have it all on video to enjoy time and again.

I love seeing these guys perform, but most of all love love being their life long friends.

Can you believe that I've been doing the Diamonds' website for 7 years now? Can you believe that they have been around for 59 years? Can you believe that I have been best friends with Bobby for 19 years? Can you believe that my daughter is 7 years old? Time passes by so fast. We all thank you for keeping The Diamonds' music alive in your part the world. We wish we all could visit you you soon.

Best wishes, Pat, Megan, and The Diamonds

My 7 year old daughter Megan and I spent a lovely evening with The Diamonds on January 9, 2009 in Sarasota, Florida. After a wonderful dinner with the 4 guys and Tony Coppola (Piano) and Bob Schubert (Drums) we enjoyed a 3 hour and 15 minute show.

Gary, Jerry, Joe and Bobby are always so professional and cordial. They paid Megan much attention during the show. During the break, Megan and I had a great time catching up with Bobby and seeing photos of his new baby daughter.

They dedicated Megan's favorite Diamonds song, "Radio Heroes," to her. Then Joe, sang Lead on "Church Bells May Ring" to Megan and gave her a ring! The night was truly magical. We heard all the classic songs, as well as some of Megan's favorites: "Sea Cruise" and "Come Go With Me." We also enjoyed their versions of "Sincerely" and "It's All In The Game" and "Put Your Head On My Shoulder." Other highlights included Jerry's solo on the now rarely performed "You Belong To Me" and Bobby's always requested "Bobby Darrin Medley." I will see them again next week. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Best wishes in 2009....

The Diamonds (Gary Owens, Jerry Siggins, Joe Finetti and Bobby Poynton) appeared in Sun City Center, Florida at Kings Point Auditorium on December 6, 2005 in Silver Bells and Diamonds. I haven't seen them in nearly 2 years and what a thrill it was.

The show began with a rousing Holiday Medley of Jingle Bell Rock, Bobby singing I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, and Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree. From there it was down to business with all of the good old fashioned Rock and Roll we remember. Among the highlights: The Stroll, Bobby's Unchained Melody, the comical She Say, Gary's sax solo on Yakety Sax, and Little Darlin'.

The second half featured a holiday feast of memorable favorites. Among the highlights: Jerry's rendition of What Can I Give You This Christmas?, Bobby's solo of My Grown Up Christmas List and Joe's version of Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow. Another show stopper was Gary's Flute solo on Silver Bells.

The big announcement, of course, is their brand new CD release STANDING ROOM ONLY. It's a "Live" recording and the first ever release with this lineup of Gary, Jerry, Joe and Bobby. Available through www.thediamonds.cc . Wish all the best to everyone and hope you continue to visit my websites. Happy Holidays!

Two wonderful concerts were performed by The Diamonds on February 10, 2004 in Tampa, Florida at The Florida State Fair, which is celebrating it's 100th year. They performed on a double bill with another classic group called The Coasters. At their 2:00 afternoon show they performed to over 1,500 people. A record afternoon crowd at The Fair. Everyone loved their shows, and many people approached me and told me that it was the best show they had ever seen.

The shows were a little shorter than most of their concerts, but each moment held their audience captive. As always, Bobby's "Unchained Melody" was the show's highlight. It's always very nice spending the day with Bobby and everyone. In all, Bobby and I visited for more than 12 hours. Jerry is a great guy and a tremendous Laurel and Hardy fan, like myself. We always enjoy reciting dialogue from the duo's classic films, back and forth to each other. And once again, it was great getting to know the group's newest member, Lead singer Joe Finetti.

The weather turned quite warm and the shows were indoors so it was very comfortable. What can I say, they put on a great show and I recommend it to everyone.

Bobby Poynton and Gary Owens I saw The Diamonds perform on Nov. 16, 2003 at the Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida. Just 3 minutes from my house. Great seeing everyone again, as April of this year had been the last time. Especially great meeting Joe Finetti the group's new Lead singer. He is a wonderful performer, both as a singer and as an expert trombone player. Their show was the best I've seen to date. I watched it all, as well as videotaped and took photos, from a tiny, two-foot wide catwalk high above the audience. An excellent show from start to finish, The Diamonds never disappoint their audience. Bobby's Unchained Melody brought the audience to their feet. A great new number was added: The Beach Boys' hit from the sixties "In My Room." The Diamonds performed this accapella. I look forward to seeing them again in Dec and Jan. and visiting with my good friend Bobby Poynton. Look for new photos on the official Diamonds website very soon.

Hello,

Wanted to let you know that I had the good fortune of seeing The Diamonds again on April 14 in Largo, Florida for two shows. I always enjoy not only seeing them perform but spending time with them. Bobby especially is always a great friend. Their sound was great, as was their backup musicians: Bob Schubert on Drums and Tony Copola on the Piano. All of their songs were great sounding, especially their rendition of "Blue Velvet".

I went to see The Diamonds again on March 12, 2003. This time they played the Pinellas Expo Hall in Clearwater Florida. It was the first concert beginning a 3 week tour of the West Coast of Florida. As always it great seeing all of the guys again, especially Bobby. The concert was excellent and the crowd really enjoyed it. Stand-out numbers included the group's biggest hits: LITTLE DARLIN', SILHOUETTES and WHY DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE? Of course, Bobby's Lead and Solo vocals on UNCHAINED MELODY, THE BOBBY DARIN MEDLEY and THE WANDERER went over great with the crowd. They closed the show with WE'RE STILL ROCKIN', before coming back with an encore of YOU'VE LOST THAT LOVIN' FEELIN'. If this show was any indication, their Florida tour will be a huge success.

Can't wait to see them again. Didn't get many photos this time, as the lighting wasn't too good and the best roll I took was ruined during developing. Sorry there aren't more photos.

Hello my friend,

Last weekend The Diamonds came to Tampa, Florida for 6 spectacular concerts at Busch Gardens Theme Park. The shows were at 12, 1:30 & 3:30 on both Saturday and Sunday. The line-up of The Diamonds has changed slightly. The Diamonds are: Bobby Poynton (Tenor), Gary Owens (Baritone), Jerry Siggins (Bass) and Gary Douglas (Lead). Sometimes Jerry is the Lead and Bill New performs Bass. Each concert was only about 45 minutes in length, but they did do 2 completely different shows. It was very cold in Florida this weekend and the theater was outside so it was a challenge for the group to keep warm. They did great and each audience loved them. Bobby earned several standing ovations for his meaningful rendition of "Unchained Melody". My wife Tracy and daughter Megan even attended the final show with me and for the first time got to see this wonderful group perform and meet its members. Little Megan loves "Little Darlin' ". 2003 looks like a busy year for the Diamonds. Hopefully I will see them again in March. I hope you enjoy the photos.

At the end of August this will change and I will let you know. One member has changed and that is Carson Church. He still performs some shows but can not make them all. Bill New does most of them. He has been performing with the Diamonds here and there for many years. He even has already recorded many songs, some on the CD I sent to you. He also performed with Bobby in 1998 with The Crew Cuts. I will talk to you soon.

I went to see The Diamonds on Saturday night, July 20 in Naples, Florida. It was another great performance. I have attached a couple of the many photos I took. The first one is a picture of me with the Diamonds. Bill New is now singing bass instead of Carson Church. I do have 3 concerts I have videotapes of The Diamonds. One in February with Bobby, Gary, Jerry and Carson. One in March with Bobby, Gary, Jerry and Carson. And the one on Saturday with Bobby, Gary, Jerry and Bill New. The Diamonds will not be going to Japan this year.

Your friend, Patrick

I went to see the Diamonds perform with Bobby Poynton on February 19th. The concert was the best I've ever seen. I video taped he concert, because The Diamonds let me. I spent the entire day with Bobby and had alot of fun. The Diamonds are: Bobby Poynton, Gary Owens, Jerry Siggins and Carson Church. Some of the great songs were their big hit: Little Darlin', Bobby's solos: Unchained Melody and Beyond The Sea, Jerry's solo of You Belong To Me and the group singing the Barry Manilow hit Bandstand Boogie. I hope to see them again soon. Bobby and I are working on a web page for him, an "Official Bobby Poynton Site". I will let you know when it is ready. I have attached a photo of me and Bobby after the concert in Clearwater, Florida. Also is a picture of Bobby and Jerry Siggins on stage. I hope you like it.
